Construction worker falls four levels

A 27-year-old man is being treated in hospital following a fall from scaffolding in Eastern Avenue, George Town, earlier today, Friday, 23 July.
Shortly before 11:00 a.m. the man was working on the fourth level of scaffolding at Cayman Distributors, Eastern Avenue, when he fell approximately 20 feet to the ground.
Witnesses say the man had a few noticeable broken bones and emergency services took him to the Cayman Islands Hospital. Police say he is being treated for leg and facial injuries.
Cayman 27 crews were told that the man worked for DECCO, who is one of the companies working at the site. DECCO safety crews were on scene to investigate the incident, but they refused to comment about the incident.
