About Us

Broadcasting since 1992, CITN, also known as Cayman 27, provides the Cayman Islands community with news, sports, and entertainment. Our mission is to connect the Cayman Islands with the rest of the world by providing a wide range of programming on Cayman 27.
For more than a decade Cayman 27 has been dedicated to delivering reliable, timely, unbiased news. The News 27 team, which is responsible for producing Daybreak and News 27 at 6, is headed up by News Director, April Cummings, a Caymanian who has diverse experience in a number of different broadcast markets in the United States.
News 27 at 6pm is a 30 minute news broadcast focusing on local news, weather and sports also covering regional and international events from a local perspective. Daybreak is a one-hour breakfast show with local news and weather focusing on current events, businesses, and other community happenings in the Cayman Islands.
Cayman 27’s live truck allows our team to report major news when and where it happens, such as elections, while our production capabilities enable us to produce live community events such as the Young Caymanian Leadership Awards.
News 27 at 6 airs Monday through Friday on Cayman 27 (cable channel 12); Daybreak airs 7am every Monday through Friday on Cayman 27. For special programming check our programming guide.
